Pricing
Zippex uses dynamic pricing based on distance, duration, and package size. All prices returned by the API are in cents (e.g. 1249 = $12.49 CAD). Quotes give you the exact price upfront, no surprises after.
Pricing tiers
Delivery fees scale with distance. Here is a general overview of starting prices:
Short distance
0 – 5 km
from $3.99 CAD
Medium distance
5 – 10 km
from $6.99 CAD
Long distance
10 km+

What goes into the price
Every delivery fee is built from the following components:
- Base fee— flat starting rate applied to every delivery.
- Distance fee— per-kilometer charge that varies by vehicle type.
- Time fee— per-minute estimate based on expected delivery duration.
- Service fee— platform fee covering insurance, support, and live tracking.
- Tax— 12% (Canada).
You don't need to calculate this
The quote endpoint returns the exact fee. You never need to calculate pricing yourself.
Vehicle pricing
The vehicle type affects the per-kilometer rate. If you don't specify a vehicle, Zippex picks the best option based on package size and distance.

Service limits
- Maximum delivery distance: 250 km
- Available region: British Columbia, Canada (Lower Mainland; expanding to other cities)
- Currency: CAD
Cancellation fees
- Before driver assigned: Free — no charge.
- After driver assigned: $2.50 CAD flat fee.
